Just a brief notice to you all about some changes that we have to make and in the process, the forum will be unavailable for a while. The hosting solution we have at the moment involves cPanel, which have made several changes in the recent year, that will now force us to take some action.
First of all, we are preparing a new server with DirectAdmin as the software instead, but we would like to keep the current server running for a little while longer as we get ready. The primary reason for changing to new software is due to the ever increasing price of cPanel, which is getting to the point of being more expensive than it’s worth.
To keep the current server running, we will have to upgrade the OS, which may or may not cause problems. Only time will tell. We have plenty of backups, so we should be able to get things up and running again in a timely manner. Since the current OS is discontinued by cPanel, we will have to change to a different Linux flavor.
As always, during any downtime, you can always see the latest updates here on the “Elite Site”. While the extras there are for elites, the front page will always be accessible to anyone.
While we always try to keep up with no downtime, sometimes there is only one way.
